Features
You will feel confident and comfortable, even on tough terrain, with a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle. You will feel stable with a low center of gravity and a wide stance. Engine braking and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes keep you in control on steep descents, even when fully loaded. The power steering on M- and R-Trim vehicles, is smooth and responsive.
Standard four-wheel drive with rear differential lock
With standard four-wheel drive and rear differential lock, both instantly available with the flip of a switch, you can get where you are going.
Dual A-arm front and rear independent suspension
The independent suspension provides a smooth ride as 203 mm (8 in.) of front suspension travel and 229 mm (9 in.) of rear suspension travel cushions bumps and glides over ruts. And clearing rocks and roots is no problem with 284 mm (11.2 inches) of ground clearance.
Tires for any terrain
Full-Size Gator Utility Vehicles are available with three tire options:
- Terra Hawk all-terrain tires
- Tread pattern and wide footprint provide excellent traction with minimal impact on terrain
- Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 extreme terrain radial tires
- Radial construction provides shock absorption, allowing for a smoother ride
- Non-directional tread pattern provides predictable cornering and claws up roots and rocks
- Predator Heavy-Duty all-terrain radial tire
- Radial construction provides shock absorption, allowing for a smoother ride
- Flat profile increases footprint area, reducing ground pressure
- 8-ply rating delivers up to three times the life of Bighorn tires

Full-size Gator™ XUVs are built to work hard and go the extra mile.
Heavy-duty frame
The hefty frame is designed to stand-up to all the bumps and bends of the trail, and the standard front skid plate protects key components from damage.
Constant velocity boot protection
Constant velocity joints are enclosed to keep water and dirt out. A protector shield protects the boot from trail debris.
Automotive-grade panels and optional protection packages
The hood and side panels are made of automotive-grade materials that resist scratches and dents, and the cargo box is made of tough composite material that resists dents and rust. Optional protection packages look tough and provide even more protection.

When you sit behind the wheel of a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle, you will be reminded of your favorite pick-up truck. There are controls at your fingertips, an easy-to-read instrument panel, and outlets to recharge your phone.
Shift from park and into gear with a throw of a single lever. Power steering on M- and R- trim vehicles is smooth and responsive.
When the going gets tough, you can instantly engage four-wheel drive and rear differential lock with switches. Even at night, the backlit switches are easy to see. If a front wheel starts to slip, the front differential automatically locks to pull you through.
When you hop into the seat of a full-size Gator™ Utility Vehicle, you will notice there’s seating for you, plus two.
Three-passenger seating with room to spare
The adjustable operator’s seat and tilt steering lets drivers of all sizes get comfortable, and the passenger grab handles help everyone feel secure. The low step height and generous opening between seat base and fender is even designed to accommodate bulky work boots.
Roof, windshield, rear panel, door, and heater options
Roof, windshield, rear panel, and half doors attachments keep you dry, shaded, and out of the dust. Cab doors with roll down windows and heater attachments keep you warm all winter.
The full-size Gator™ XUV can haul 454 kg (1000 lb), so load it up with confidence. You can also make fewer trips with 1814 kg (4000 lb) of towing capacity and a standard 51-mm (2-in.) receiver hitch.
Built-tough cargo box
The cargo box resists dents, scratches, and rust because it is made from a tough composite material. You will have no problem securing loads with integrated tie bars and 14 tie-down points. You can also convert the cargo box to a flatbed when you need to haul big and bulky loads.
The cargo box measures 1143 mm (45 in.) long, 1320 mm (52 in.) wide, and 305 mm (12 in.) deep.
One-handed tailgate
Since your hands are always full, the tailgate can be opened and closed with one hand. You can also lower the tailgate to carry longer items or remove it for easy cleanout.
Power lift
To save your back, the optional cargo box power lift empties heavy loads with the push of a button.
The XUV865 and XUV825M S4 Gator™ Utility Vehicles are powered by a fuel-efficient and durable diesel engine. The enclosed drivetrain automatically adjusts for fast acceleration, along with powerful hauling and hill-climbing capabilities. With plenty of torque to get the job done, this engine will provide reliable performance for years to come.
One-row full-size Gator XUVs come packed with places to store tools, gear, and beverages.
Cup holders
The dash has four cup holders, and cab vehicles have a cup holder in each door.
Dash and under-seat storage
The vehicles also feature an enclosed glove box, center tray, dash storage pocket and under-seat storage. Depending on the configuration, vehicles may have up to three additional dash bins and under-hood storage.
You will get noticed with the distinctive styling of full-size Gator™ XUVs. Available in three colors, with various protection packages, and more than 100 attachments, you can create a custom look that will turn heads.

My new 865m came with a lot of problems: - this screw broke several times (broken screw led to heavy vibrations) - shaft seal not well installed - snorkel is touching the side wall (noise in the cab) - hard shifting - Predator rear tires not round (Gator jumping) - plastic over alternator was touching the alternator and some more smaller problems. After all my Gator is still louder than other 865m. Fortunately I have a great dealer which always helped me very much.
